Overview

The Morgantown Pony All-Star program will provide an opportunity for players, who have demonstrated the requisite skill and desire, to compete against players of similar skill levels from other communities. All-Star baseball is more competitive and places a greater emphasis on winning than recreational baseball.

The All-Star program is available to players ages 7-14. eligibility is determined by the player’s age on April 30th of the current year. Teams will consist of approximately 12 players.

The all-star season will run approximately May through July through. Most tournaments are held at the end of June through July, but opportunities will exist to play May through the end of August. Due to the competitive nature of this program and the amount of interest at many age levels, All Star Tryouts are necessary. There is no cost to try out.

The fee for all stars will be $75 with additional fundraising required. This will cover uniforms; equipment, field time, and at minimum 2 total tournaments. Fee will be due after tryouts when accepting spot on the team.

Age divisions

8U – Players cannot be 9 before April 30 2024

10U - Players cannot be 11 before April 30 2024

12U - Players cannot be 13 before April 30 2024

13U - Players cannot be 14 before April 30 2024

14U - Players cannot be 15 before April 30 2024

If there is enough interest, we will entertain the idea of 7U, 9U, and 11U teams.

Practice Schedule

Once teams are selected; team will practice at least one time a week leading up to tournaments. As we approach tournament season, practices will be 2-3 times a week. Practice could take place at any of the Pony Fields in Morgantown. Scrimmages may be added again other local all star and travel teams at the coaches discretion.

July 13/14 – 8U, 10U, 12U All Star Tournament in Worthington, WV (Parkersburg)

-13U East Zone Championship – Hagerstown, MD

July 17-20 - Pony East Zone 12U Championship – Venetia, PA

July 18-21 - 10U Tournament Pataskala, OH or Coshocton, OH

- 8U Tournament Coshocton, OH (this would be a potential, 7U, 9U, & 11U destination)

July 25-28 – 14U World Series Qualifier – Mt Lebanon, PA
